Commissions

One-of-a-Kind Original Paintings

How Does the Commission Process Work?

Each commission begins with a short inquiry form. This gives me a sense of your space, preferences, and the feeling you want the piece to carry.

Once your request is approved, a 50% deposit secures your place in the commission calendar.

From there, the process unfolds in three stages:

  • Concept & Creation (4–8 weeks)
I begin with a loose concept sketch for your approval, ensuring we’re aligned before moving into the final painting. From there, the piece is developed in my studio, guided by your references and my interpretation.
  • Final Review
You’ll receive images of the completed work. One round of minor adjustments is included if needed.
  • Curing & Finishing (6–8 weeks)
The painting is left to cure fully before being varnished and carefully prepared for shipment.

Estimated timeline: 4-5 months.

Commissions are collaborative, but not prescriptive.

Reference images, ideas, and themes are used as a starting point—not a blueprint. The strongest pieces come from allowing space for interpretation.

Your submission form may include:

  • Colour direction or palette
  • Subject or general theme
  • Emotional tone or atmosphere
  • Personal references or imagery

From this, I create a piece that feels aligned with both your vision and my body of work.

Each commission includes:

  • Original, one-of-a-kind oil painting
  • Certificate of authenticity
  • Concept sketch (initial study)
  • Studio progress documentation

Commissions are priced based on size.

$7 CAD per square inch. This includes shipping.

Minimum size: 16 x 20 inches | 40 x 50 cm

Examples:

  • 16 x 20 → $2,240
  • 24 x 36 → $6,048
  • 30 x 40 → $8,400

If you're unsure about sizing, you can share your wall dimensions in the form and I’ll guide you.

Shipping is included.

  1. Submit the commission inquiry form.
  2. I’ll review and confirm availability, size, and pricing
  3. A 50% deposit secures your place
  4. The remaining balance is due prior to shipping

If the timing or fit isn’t right, I’ll let you know.

Each piece is created in alignment with my practice, ensuring the final work feels both personal and cohesive within the larger body of work.
